Types of Shopping Cart

A shopping cart is called trolley, carriage, bascart, basket or baggy in other regions; generally used in supermarkets. This is used for carrying items while shopping.
But if you shop online, you use a shopping cart. Shops online need to install an ecommerce software in order to have the shopping cart feature. This will let you put items in your cart and the software will calculate your order plus the delivery charge. There are two types of shopping cart software, the licensed type and the hosted service. The licensed software is downloadable and can be installed in a server. This type is mostly associated with a one-time payment. There are also free softwares but you cannot do anything you want since the software has limited features. The hosted service type needs not to be downloaded. It is provided on a hosted service, either monthly or yearly. The host may also charge you a part of your sales. This is not a good method to use for there are times that the software will be updated.
